Job Description:
Ogden Golf and Country Club is currently seeking a reliable and customer-focused team player to join our team as a Driving Range/Laborer Employee. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our driving range facilities and providing exceptional service to our Members and Guests. Job is in the evening during while school is in and in the mornings during the summer months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greets Members and Guests in a friendly and professional manner, providing assistance and answering any questions they may have.
  • Monitor the driving range area to ensure safety and cleanliness standards are maintained at all times.
  • Collect range balls using appropriate equipment and ensure they are cleaned and stocked for customer use.
  • Operate ball retrieval machinery safely and efficiently, adhering to established procedures.
  • Assist with minor maintenance tasks, such as repairing divots, filling ball crates, and filling water coolers.
  • Provide basic instruction and assistance to customers as needed, including setup and use of practice equipment.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Prior customer service experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of golf and/or experience working on a golf course is a plus.
  • Friendly and outgoing personality with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Job Description: Ogden Golf and Country Club is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Golf Course Maintenance Workers. As a key member of our groundskeeping crew, you will play a vital role in maintaining the beauty, functionality, and safety of our esteemed golf course. This position offers the opportunity to work outdoors in a dynamic environment while contributing to the overall success of our facility.

Responsibilities:

  1. Mowing and Trimming: Perform routine mowing, trimming, and edging of greens, fairways, roughs, and other turf areas using specialized equipment such as reel mowers, rotary mowers, trimmers, and edgers.
  2. Aeration and Topdressing: Assist in aerating and topdressing greens, tees, and fairways to promote healthy turf growth and optimal playing conditions.
  3. Irrigation Maintenance: Participate in the installation, repair, and maintenance of irrigation systems, including sprinklers, valves, pipes, and controllers, to ensure proper water distribution across the golf course.
  4. Bunker Maintenance: Rake and maintain sand bunkers to ensure they are free of debris, properly graded, and provide a consistent playing surface for golfers.
  5. Pesticide and Fertilizer Application: Apply pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers according to established procedures and safety guidelines to control weeds, pests, and diseases while promoting turf health.
  6. Landscape Maintenance: Assist with landscaping duties, including planting, pruning, mulching, and general upkeep of flower beds, shrubs, trees, and other ornamental features.
  7. Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Operate various types of grounds maintenance equipment and vehicles safely and efficiently, performing routine maintenance tasks as needed to keep equipment in optimal condition.
  8. Course Setup and Event Support: Assist in course setup for daily play, tournaments, and special events, including flag placement, tee marker placement, and signage installation.
  9. General Cleanup and Maintenance: Perform general cleanup duties around the golf course facilities, including removing litter, debris, and fallen branches, and maintaining a neat and orderly appearance.
  10. Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  1. Previous experience in golf course maintenance or landscaping preferred but not required.
  2. Knowledge of turfgrass care techniques, irrigation systems, and landscaping practices is beneficial.
  3. Ability to operate grounds maintenance equipment safely and effectively.
  4. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  5. Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
  6. Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  7. Willingness to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
