Junior Outdoor Recreation Camps

Fly Fishing, Rock Climbing, Challenger Low Ropes Course and Kayaking Camps are offered in conjunction with the Anglers Den and Weber State University Outdoor Recreation Center. 

Fly Fishing Camp is a two day camp held three times during the summer. The first day is spent at the Club with the certified instructor learning the basics of fly fishing and practicing the art of casting on a fly fishing rod.  The second day is spent on a local reserviour trying to catch fish. All equipment is provided. Adults must provide transportation to the Club and local reserviour.

The Rock Climbing Camp is a two day program in conjunction with Weber State Outdoor Recreation Center. The first day is held at the Weber Rocks Climbing Wall learning the basics of rock climbing and safety procedures in the controlled setting of the Weber Rocks Climbing Wall. The second day is spent on a local rock wall. Safety is number one priority. Instructors are certified, all equipment is provided. Safety waiver required.

The Challenger Low Ropes Course provides an educational experience requiring a combination of creativity, physical involvement, teamwork skills and individual commitment. The course offers an atmosphere of trust and cooperation resulting in a more effective team.  Youngsters learn skills that will give them confidence, leadership and motivation. No special equipment needed. Safety waiver required.

The Kayak Day Camp is a two day camp held at the OGCC pool with certified instructors. Students learn Kayak safety and how to do the Kayak Roll. All equipment is provided. Safety waiver required.
